How often should I see a dentist?

While many find visiting the dentist to be a chore on its own, or dreadful, going to the dentist regularly is important not only for your dental health but your overall health. Your teeth have a synergic relationship with your oral health and overall health. Gum disease is often linked to many illnesses including respiratory disease, osteoporosis, heart disease, diabetes, and rheumatoid arthritis.

Visiting your dentist for regular appointments is important. On average, we normally recommend a patient visit every six to twelve months. This is for patients who have quite healthy teeth, with no previous issues. If you have a high risk of developing gum disease or other health conditions, a dentist may recommend you visit more often, which could be every three to six months.

Our patient’s health shows as they visit our dental clinic regularly, due to this we are able to manage and treat any oral health issues as they arise, and before they get out of control and become costly to fix or damaging to your health.
